To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House assembled in Parliament:

This petition of certain citizens of Sydney calls to the attention of the House that the Minister for Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs intends to cut funding to and change the delivery of services in the job training area. This will result in unemployed people who are willing to improve skills and retrain in an effort to obtain employment, not receiving the assistance they need to get themselves off benefit. It will also mean that those service deliverers in training programs like SkillShare, lose their jobs.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to direct the Minister to reinstate adequate funding for training so that active support for job seekers remains.
