That consideration of clause 2 be postponed.

I seek to have the consideration of clause 2 postponed until after the consideration of schedule 2 because it deals with some timely issues.

Question resolved in the negative.

Amendments (by Dr Wooldridge)—by leave—proposed:

(1)   Clause 2, page 1 (line 10), after "subsections", insert "(2A),".

(2)   Clause 2, page 1 (after line 12), after subclause (2), insert:

   (2A)   Items 14A and 15A of Schedule 1 commence:

      (a)   on 1 January 1997; or

      (b)   immediately after the commencement of the remainder of Schedule 1;

      whichever is later.
