Madam DEPUTY SPEAKER (Mrs Sullivan) —Mr Speaker has received a letter from the honourable member for Batman (Mr Martin Ferguson) proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

The widespread concern and confusion caused by the government's failure to fully commit itself to the future of successful labour market programs such as Skillshare, Job Clubs and LEAP and the impact of this decision on unemployment.

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
