Mr LATHAM —Mr Speaker, last Thursday I asked a fairly straightforward question of the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy concerning the national electricity grid and the Eastlink project in Queensland. The minister stunned the House by not giving a straightforward answer and he said:

I will seek further advice and get back to you.

Has he in fact got back to you with the answer to my question? If he has not, will he please do so as soon as possible? This sets an undesirable precedent for ministers being able to fob off these matters without providing the legitimate information to the House. Can I have the answer as soon as possible?

Mr SPEAKER —I thank the member for Werriwa. I shall bring it to the notice of the appropriate minister.
