To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in the Parliament assembled.

The Petition of the undersigned shows: That the printing and distribution of `How to Vote' Cards on Polling Day in State and Commonwealth Elections is extremely wasteful as the distribution of approximately 40 million pieces of paper during the last Federal Election indicates.

Your Petitioners request that the House of Representatives should: Enact legislation to stop the use of `How to Vote' Cards at Commonwealth elections and that it should prevail on all State Governments in Australia to pass similar legislation for State elections.
