The honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled: the petition of the undersigned citizens respectfully showeth that we believe the Commonwealth owned land at Buckland Hill and the river foreshore reserves from point direction to Chine Street should be declared `A' class reserve for conservation and passive recreation.
Your petitioners humbly pray that the House of Representatives, in Parliament assembled, urge the Government to:
1. Retain the land at Buckland Hill in Commonwealth ownership and declare it `A' class reserve.
2. Make arrangements for a draft management plan to be drawn up by a biologist for public comment
And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
