To the Honourable the Speaker and the Members of the House of Representatives assembled: The petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth that, the government of President Marcos of the Philippines is engaged in the denial of human rights, such as imprisonment and torture without charge or trial, and that a situation of defacto martial law exists in the Philippines.

Your petitioners most humbly pray that the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled ask that, all military aid or military cooperation, and the sale of defence equipment from Australia to the Marcos government be ceased.

All government-to-government development aid from Australia to the Philippines cease until it can be shown that such aid will benefit the poorest people, rather than furthering the interests of the military.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
