The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN (Mr Lazzarini (WERRIWA, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Order! The honorable gentleman must not make a second - reading speech. He is entitled only to make a passing reference to this matter.

Mr HARRISON - We know that large quantities of petrol can he obtained from France, because Ampol has been offered approximately 30,000,000 gallons at the rate of 4,500,000 gallons a month. If there is no dollar content in that petrol and if the Government issues import licences in respect of it, this measure can be repealed by proclamation long before August, 1950, because there will be no further need for petrol rationing. I point out that French petrol does not necessarily have a dollar content.
