Senator LUNDY --Can I get an update with respect to finance in the Jervis Bay territory report that was released on 3 April? Can someone tell me what is happening with that, when those recommendations will be brought down?
Ms Varova --That report has been finalised. We are presently doing an analysis of that report in conjunction with that. Also under way is the development of a land use blueprint for Jervis Bay. We will be presenting that as a package for consideration to the minister.
Mr Beale --Can I just momentarily go back to one of your earlier questions which I would like to indicate that we will check. The table that you referred to, on significant variations, is a movement in cash flows between 1995-96 and 1996-97. Therefore the explanations relate to specific measures that impact on those cash flows. As I read page 67, the explanation relating to the changed administrative arrangements orders relates not to a cash flow difference between 1995-96 and 1996-97 but to a saving against a forward estimate that was in place. I am not sure if that is the same item as the government telecommunications savings initiative. I might have misunderstood what Ms Varova said, but I had the impression that--
Ms Varova --The telecommunications item was a separate across-the-board item.
Mr Beale --It is a quite separate across-the-board item. It does not relate to the reduction in outlays from the changed administrative arrangements orders. I thought the explanation might have been a little confusing and I just wanted to make that clear.
ACTING CHAIR --Thank you for clarifying it. Senator Lundy, do you have any more on subprogram 5.1?
Senator LUNDY --I jumped across to subprogram 5.3 with my question with respect to Jervis Bay. As I made the point previously, Senator Macdonald, the format of the PBS does not go into subprogram detail.
ACTING CHAIR --As it is only you and me, I think, within reason, go your hardest across the range as long as we can get it finished at the earliest possible time. I do not have any other questions on 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3.
