    13   MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE

Messages, 16 March 2012, from the Senate were reported informing the House of the appointment of Senators to the following joint committees:

No. 312—

in accordance with the Human Rights (Parliamentary Scrutiny) Act 2011 , Senators Edwards and Humphries had been appointed members of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights.

Senator Macdonald had been discharged from the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity and that, in accordance with the Law Enforcement Integrity Commissioner Act 2006 , Senator Cash had been appointed a member of the committee.

Senator Mason had been discharged from the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement and that, in accordance with the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement Act 2010 , Senator Nash had been appointed a member of the committee.

No. 313—

Senator Stephens had been discharged from the Joint Standing Committee on the National Broadband Network and that, in accordance with the resolution agreed to by both Houses, senators had been appointed to the committee as follows:

Senator Gallacher as a member; and

Senator Stephens as a participating member.
