5 Appropriation Bill (No. 3) 2011-2012
The order of the day having been read for the resumption of the debate on the question—That the Bill be now read a second time— And on the amendment moved thereto by Mr Robb, viz .—That all words after “That” be omitted with a view to substituting the following words: “whilst not declining to give the bill a second reading, the House is of the view that, in light of global economic uncertainty and existing pressures on Australian industry and jobs, the Government should not appropriate funds for measures associated with the introduction of a carbon tax to allow for the postponement of introduction of the tax until after elections have been held for the 44th Parliament and the Parliament has met”—
