Senator NETTLE (5:25 PM) —As I outlined in my speech in the second reading debate and my comments in relation to this amendment, our concern is that this bill removes the accountability mechanisms that are currently in place for controlled operations and undercover operations. We have all been talking about that. We are concerned that undercover operations are precisely the kinds of operations for which we need to have significant accountability mechanisms in place. That is the intention of the Greens amendment.
