  The petition of the undersigned parents and friends of Sunshine Kindergarten Day Care Centre draws to the attention of the Senate that the Federal Government is seeking to link accreditation to eligibility for Childcare Assistance and in the opinion of your petitioners this link will only lead to higher fees for parents and no guarantee for improvement in quality of care for children. We know that quality care cannot be legislated for—it comes from the heart. Please help us help our children.

  Your petitioners therefore request the Senate to reject accreditation being linked to Childcare Assistance.
